format_quote The PE 1C is a passive all-tube EQ that is inspired and based on the one and only PULTEC EQP 1A, featuring a passive EQ section with a high quality op-amp.
Every aspiring sound engineer uses Pulted-styled plugins and dreams of one day getting the original EQ in his rack. PE 1C is by far the easiest way to achieve this unique and coveted sound of the original Pultech which is of course by no means easy to get.
The PE 1C low end section combines two separate passive EQ filters with slightly different cut/boost frequencies. When the two sections are combined this results in truly unique EQ curves often named the “Low End Trick” and is very useful for cleaning up low/mid frequencies.
The high frequency and midrange bands really stand out in terms of transparency and clarity, and the PE 1C is broadly regarded as one of the world’s finest passive tube based equalizers.
Cleaned and serviced. Excellent working condition. A bit of rack rash on top of the unit, nothing bad.
PSU is switchable between 115 and 230V, currently set to work on 230V. EU power cable included.
