Nordic Audio Labs NU-24K Condenser Microphone Demo | Retrosonic Pro Audio

This is a Retrosonic Pro Audio demo video of the highly anticipated Nordic Audio Labs NU-24K large-diaphragm FloFET™ microphone featuring a few real world recording situations.

For this session we recorded female vocals by Pille-Riin Karro (ELLIP), male vocals by Heldur Harry Põlda and acoustic guitar by Andre Maaker. The goal was to explore the NU-24K’s tonal character, detail and versatility across different sources, from different vocal textures to the natural dynamics and harmonic richness of acoustic guitar.

This demo offers an impression of how the NU-24K performs in a musical context, highlighting its depth, presence and warmth in a modern recording environment.

The signal chain for all recordings was kept simple:

Nordic Audio Labs NU-24K → Neve BCM10 console (1084 preamp module) → Grace Designs m701 audio interface. Audio has not been edited, mixed or mastered.

The acoustic guitar played in this video is a custom made jumbo model by Sinisalu Guitars called J1. It has a cedar top, walnut back and sides, cedar neck, and Madagascar rosewood bridge and fingerboard.
