Neumann KM56 Switchable Tube Microphone #2660

The Telefunken / Neumann KM 56 Miniature Multipattern Tube Microphone is a small-diaphragm condenser microphone with multiple directional patterns (omni, cardioid, and figure-8).

It features a dual-sided, small diaphragm capsule skinned with nickel, as well as a tube amplifier circuit. The KM 56 is excellent for all-around applications, delivering a bright and clear sound on pianos, overheads, guitars, rooms, strings, and more. It is perfect for capturing a wide range of audio sources with warmth and detail.

This microphone has has been in service at Drefahl on December 2025. It has a good AC701 tube, original capsule, also new Drefahl DN221 PSU and a new Sommer Cable. Microphone holder is not included.
