Avid HD MADI is a dedicated all-digital interface for connecting a Pro Tools | HD system to MADI-equipped hardware such as digital consoles, broadcast routers, live sound systems, and mobile recording rigs. It is a clean and practical solution for post-production, broadcast, live recording, and larger studio installations where high channel count digital audio needs to move reliably over long distances.
Housed in a compact 1U rackmount chassis, HD MADI can send and receive up to 64 channels of audio between Pro Tools | HD and MADI devices, with support for up to 24-bit / 192 kHz operation. Optical and coaxial MADI connections are provided, with simultaneous optical and coaxial outputs for flexible routing. Built-in sample rate conversion on all I/O channels makes integration easier when working with external devices running at different sample rates.
HD MADI connects to Pro Tools | HD via two DigiLink Mini ports, each carrying 32 channels of audio. Clocking options include Internal, Loop Sync, Word Clock, AES/EBU, and MADI, making the unit easy to integrate into professional digital systems. A very useful interface for anyone working with Pro Tools HD in broadcast, post, live sound, or large-format digital studio environments.
This unit is in excellent working condition and good visual condition. The power supply is switchable between 100V and 240V and is currently set for 240V operation. For 100V operation, the fuse must be changed. EU power cord included.
