Apogee Symphony I/O Mk I is a serious studio converter/interface system from the period when Apogee was setting the tone for high-end Mac-based recording rigs. This 2x6 USB configuration is a compact but very capable setup, giving you two analogue inputs, six analogue outputs, digital I/O, and direct USB Audio operation with an Apple Mac. It is especially well suited for mixing, mastering, overdubbing, or a smaller studio setup where conversion quality matters more than huge channel count.
The 2x6 module keeps things focused: two line inputs for capturing stereo sources or an analogue chain, six outputs for monitoring, outboard routing, or surround-style playback, plus ADAT/SMUX, AES/EBU and S/PDIF digital connectivity. Symphony I/O Mk I can also work in different Audio Interface Modes, including Symphony, Pro Tools HD, USB Audio and Standalone, making it a flexible centrepiece for a professional studio system.
