A 500 series recreation of the classic Trident Series 80B console preamp, bringing that late-’70s / early-’80s Trident sound into a compact modern format.
Built around the original 80B preamp design, it features a Lundahl transformer-coupled mic input, Lundahl output transformer, electronically balanced line input, and front-panel Hi-Z input. Gain range is generous, noise is very low, and transient response is fast, making it equally at home with condenser, dynamic, and ribbon microphones.
The 80B-500 also adds practical studio features including phantom power, polarity reverse, separate mic and line level controls, variable HPF and LPF, and LED output metering.
This is a strong choice for anyone after the punch, clarity, and musical weight associated with Trident’s classic Series 80B consoles, in an easy-to-integrate 500 series module.
