The TK Audio DP3 is a dual mic preamp that combines modern control with vintage-inspired tone. With up to 80 dB of gain, a Lundahl input transformer, custom Carnhill output transformer, selectable Class A stage, and switchable germanium and saturation circuits, it covers everything from clean and punchy to thick, harmonically rich, and full of character.
The Class A stage sits before the output control, so you can drive the transformer harder without overloading your converters. A 2 MΩ Hi-Z input, direct mode for instruments, sweepable 30-400 Hz high-pass filter, and eight-LED headroom meter make the DP3 equally useful for microphones, bass, guitars, and line-level shaping.
