Telefunken Matched pair of ECC83-TK (12AX7)

The TELEFUNKEN Elektroakustik Black Diamond Series ECC83-TK / 12AX7 is a modern production vacuum tube made in partnership with JJ Electronic in Slovakia. Designed for a rich harmonic character and balanced tonal response, each tube is carefully tested, cryogenically treated, and thoroughly burned in for reliable performance.

Originally introduced by RCA in 1947, the 12AX7 quickly became one of the most widely used high-gain, low-noise tubes in audio. Its dual-triode design offers strong gain in a compact and cost-effective format, making it a long-time favorite for input and inter-stage amplification.

Sonically, the 12AX7 is known for its musical response when pushed. As a triode tube, it naturally produces even-order harmonics when driven harder, adding warmth, depth, and a more pleasing sense of saturation rather than harshness. In Europe, this same tube is commonly known as the ECC83, the designation made famous by classic Philips and Mullard valves.

Bigger shipments requiring pallets or custom made crates ship to US, CA, JP, CN, AU and other outside of EU locations via DHL Air Freight, ETA is normally approx. 7-14 working days from pickup day zero.

Big shipments inside EU ship via different freight companies, recently mostly via ACE Logistics. Freight forwarders can use different courier companies for deliveries to final destinations.

Palletising and crating time can vary depending on the size of the shipment and packaging queue. We pack all our shipments with great care.
