SPL MMC1 Multichannel Mastering Console

MMC 1, the world's first stereo and multi-channel mastering console, created by SPL, sets a new standard in audio quality, surpassing all existing and future audio formats, whether analog or digital. It ensures a faithful reproduction of the high-quality sound found in SACD and DVD-Audio, making it a reliable long-term investment.

The MMC 1 serves as the central hub in a mastering studio, handling tasks such as speaker management, source connectivity, audio metering, track assignment, master and monitor level adjustments, and automated routing for external processors.

Key Features of MMC 1:

- The console utilizes SPL's new SUPRA operation amplifiers, operating at 120 V voltage. These discrete amplifiers underwent four years of research, resulting in a new generation of analog audio technology. The SUPRA operation amplifier achieves an impressive signal-to-noise ratio of 116dB, a headroom of 34dB, and a dynamic range of 150dB with a frequency bandwidth up to 200kHz.

- All circuit board tracks are double-width (1 mm) and double-thickness (70 micro-millimeters), ensuring stable high-gain operation with minimal resistivity.

- Gold-plated, gas-filled relays are used for all switching functions.

Internal Features of MMC 1:

- A fully-featured mastering console compatible with stereo, 5.1, 6.1, and 7.1 surround formats, supporting DVD-A and SACD.

- Extensive audio connectivity with multiple stereo and multichannel inputs, returns, recording outs, and speaker sets.

- Logic-controlled patchbay with four memory locations for various routings of multichannel outboard gear.

- RTW 10800 visual surround monitor with built-in remote control, providing correlation, phase, surround analysis, vectorscope, RTA, and 8-channel peak I/O metering.

- Large backlit multichannel potentiometers for monitor and master output levels, maintaining a tolerance of less than 0.3 dB at any position.

- Unique trim switches with 32 positions (-9.5 to +6 dB in 0.5 dB steps), using a complex mechanical construction that switches only one single resistor (0.1%) into the signal path.

- 8 large VU input meters with superb ballistics, calibrated in 2-dB steps from 0 to -14 dB.

PSU is switchable between 230V and 115V, currently set to work on 230V. Fuse has to be changed for 115V operation.

Big shipments inside EU ship via different freight companies, recently mostly via ACE Logistics. Freight forwarders can use different courier companies for deliveries to final destinations.

Palletising and crating time can vary depending on the size of the shipment and packaging queue. We pack all our shipments with great care.
