R84 Series ribbon microphones offer the classic character of the iconic R44, but with a more open top end and a gentler proximity effect, making them ideal for both mid- and close-range recording. The R84A is the active version of the passive R84, designed for seamless compatibility with a wider range of preamps.

Its controlled proximity effect adds weight and warmth to vocals, drums, brass, and more, even from a few feet away. Lightweight and easy to position, the R84 adapts beautifully to intimate close-miking as well as spacious room capture.

The active R84A maintains the same sonic signature as the R84 while delivering an extra 12 dB of output and a consistent impedance, making it ideal for quieter sources or situations where you need flexibility with different preamps.

US and EU parcels ship via UPS, ETA 1-7 working days from pickup day zero. That also applies to most locations worldwide.

Bigger shipments requiring pallets or custom made crates ship to US, CA, JP, CN, AU and other outside of EU locations via DHL Air Freight, ETA is normally approx. 7-14 working days from pickup day zero.

Big shipments inside EU ship via different freight companies, recently mostly via ACE Logistics. Freight forwarders can use different courier companies for deliveries to final destinations.

Palletising and crating time can vary depending on the size of the shipment and packaging queue. We pack all our shipments with great care.
