RCA Type Photophone PB 144, MI-3015-B Vintage Ribbon Mic year 1936

An amazing opportunity to add a true vintage to your mic locker.

This RCA PB 144, the paragon, of all ribbon mics (velocity mics in the olden days) was made in 1936 and has seen countless recording sessions and broadcasts. Despite being one of the oldest ribbon microphones in the world, it has been well maintained, is in excellent condition and sounds huge and natural.

The mic comes with a built in xlr output and a mount that allows for 90 degree adjustment, mainly used for overhead suspension.

The mic has two frequency response modes: voice and music. The mode is switchable by changing the jumper under the transformer casing. (Full operation manual is available in digital format)
